Commercial Description:
Avaailable on Keg and in 750ml bottles.
George Washington was a big fan of imported English Porter. By 1769 he'd lost his taste for British beers. After all, it was keeping the Redcoats fighting. Our Porter is based on a recipe from 1750. We bring you the original aromas and flavours of the beer that made London the world's brewing capital, flavours we know Washington would have loved. Time, care and attention have enabled us to produce a blend of beers bringing you the flavour of the 1750's. Share this beer with friends and enjoy with barbeques, fish or shellfish. The ruby colour & bottle conditioning are proof of its heritage and authenticity.

Draught@Kaunis Kampela, Helsinki. Reddish-brown color, creamy off-white head. Strong milk chocolate aroma. Smooth chocolate flavor, some molasses. Medium body, medium-high carbonation. A touch too cloying, but not bad.

Pours a dark brown with a thin head and nice lacing. Aroma of licorice, coffee, milk chocolate, tobacco and black-currant. Tastes quite typical porter-like: coffee, diacetyl, milk chocolate, light hops - root beer? Malty and thin, but sweet. Molasses and ferric hops. Thin with lots of carbonation. Not bad - aroma more interesting than the taste.

750ml bottle at Novare Res. Pours a brown translucent color with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, sweet malt, and molasses. Flavor is a very crisp, clean and velvety smooth. Drinkable and well balanced beer, provides a coffee like flavor with a hint of brown sugar and other clean sweet flavors.

A very tasty porter. Not too bold, not too sweet. A nice blend of malts and hops, chocolate and hints of coffee. Really well balanced.

750ml bottle, black color, with some reddish highlights, and a tan-colored head, sweet toasted, roasted malt, fruity nose, of burnt raisins, with a hint of spicy liquorice, with molasses accent in the aroma follows through on medium-bodied palate with a roasted malt, molasses character, with a fruity accent of burnt raisins, figs, with a dark bitter chocolate flavor, with a mild black coffee note, and a liquorice spiciness, leading towards a roasty, fruity bitterness finish.
