COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Avaailable on Keg and in 750ml bottles.
George Washington was a big fan of imported English Porter. By 1769 he'd lost his taste for British beers. After all, it was keeping the Redcoats fighting. Our Porter is based on a recipe from 1750. We bring you the original aromas and flavours of the beer that made London the world's brewing capital, flavours we know Washington would have loved. Time, care and attention have enabled us to produce a blend of beers bringing you the flavour of the 1750's. Share this beer with friends and enjoy with barbeques, fish or shellfish. The ruby colour & bottle conditioning are proof of its heritage and authenticity.

A Mes rate. Bottle at Duff’s.
Clean dark brown with a thin off white head. Decent toasty bready malt nose with a slight ashy hint. Similar flavour with plenty extra sweetness. Nice bitter chocolate finish. Straight forward but decent.

Maybe I had this sitting too long. A couple of months. Pours slick black with a velvet beige head. Aroma is cold cuts and smoked malts. Taste is again slight smoked meats and malts with coffee mixed in. Not terribly pleasant.

a dark beer with huge brownish head good lacing, nose is fantastic on toasted malt and chocolate. Aroma is creamy on caramel malt, toasted and roasted malt, even smoked notes, nice bitter chocolate notes. Great malty body, relatively dry may be some sour hints.

Purchased at Tesco store in London, UK. Also tasted at the Meantime brewery pub, as well as buying a bottle from LCBO ( I think it was just a seasonal special ) in Canada. Good porter, bit pricey at the brewery but nice part of town to visit.

Spina @ irish pub quinto. Ambrata scurissima, nera tranne che se la si guarda in trasparenza. Schiuma fine non troppo persistente. Molto tostata, note di caffè. Buona buona!

750ml bottle. Pours a dark, dark chestnut brown with a beige coloured head. Aroma is big on both cocoa, and biscuity cereal notes with coffee grounds, faint straw, and mild vanilla. The taste is mostly coffee, light molasses, dark malt notes, and lots of coffee notes with some bitterness in the finish. Solid.

This porter poured a deep black colour with a creamy, tan coloured head. Nice lacing. Scents include plastic, malt, small amount of coffee and cocoa. First swig was nice and roasty with other flavours of coffee, light hops and very little cocoa. Finish is roasted as it gets... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
