3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Ales and Tails, Twickenham, 15/11/13.
Light black with a moderate tan covering that retains well.
Nose is roast malt, dark toffee, light cocoa, earthy aroma.
Taste comprises light roast, light chocolate, touch of treacle toffee, light mineral bite.
Medium bodied, touch prickly in the carbonation - a little overdone, dry finale with light roast.
Ok drinkable affair - a basic stout without too much depth to the flavours.
