"Meantime’s London Stout is very much an old London beer as it would be made today."

4.5% very dark colour with a poor head for a stout, roasted malts aroma, malty sweet and bitter taste.

500ml bottle. Dark umber, pours with an off-white head. Weak aroma of malt. Similarly weak, the flavour is of burnt malt, with an slight aftertaste not unlike the scent of a freshly-painted room. Odd, to say the least. EDIT: having sampled a second bottle, the paint-like aftertaste is no longer present, having been replaced by a faint milkiness. Much more agreeable than an aftertaste of primer! (taste score raised from 5 to 7)

500ml bottle. Very dark brown almost black colour. Small tan brown head doesn’t last long. Aroma seems a bit weak but there’s definitely a roasted coffee/malt, a little chocolate. Flavour is pretty much the same, roasted malts, a bit of coffee and/or chocolate too but mostly in the aftertaste. Pretty nice beer, just feels a little weak compared to similar beers.

Butelka. Ciemno brazowe prawie czarne. Piana srednia palona szybko opadajaca. W zapachu chmiele palone i kawowe nuty. Smak dominuje kawa.karmel i lekko chlebowy posmak. Swietne piwo.

Appearance-Extremely lively head that stays for ages! The beer is a deep caramel/coca cola colour, with very mild carbonation, and good lacing around the glass Aroma-Some roasted coffee notes escape through the thick head. A stale bread and yeasty smell is also present. Alcohol is present, but a little unpleasant smelling Taste-Sweet with a bitter note developing. Quite well rounded and smooth down the throat. Some flat coffee notes developing as well. Milk chocolate present when lapped over tongue. Burnt notes aswell Palate-Soft and a little oily. Coats the roof of the mouth. Abrupt finish however, leaving a whisper of bitterness. Very easy drinking Overall-A decent pint to session, especially with the relatively low alcohol, but for a craft stout, it leaves a little to be desired, especially in taste

Bottle from my local Waitress in Berko, pours a very dark brown with deep orange highlights and a rich tan head. The smell is molasses, roasted malt, dark fruit. The taste is roasted malt, molasses, dark fruit ending dry and roast with a touch of coffee. The body is light/medium with prickly carbonation.
