Pours golden with a thin head. Noticed the hops first, good and bitter. This slowly fades to a malty sweetness.
Cool bottle too.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 renffisch (643) - london, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 11, 2008
330ml botle from the union. I alwaays find it hard to rate pilsner. probably the simplest style. if you get it wrong you can taste one of their solid four ingredients, and if you don’t its a great beer. this one is true and well made to its style. thumbs up!!
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 OStreetBrewery (120) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 10, 2008
Pours a crystal clear gold with a disappearing white head. Aroma features noble hops with a minerally slightly chalky character. On the palate there is a close balance between malt and hops, a very clean yeast profile with a light dry mouthfeel. there is a hint of lager malt flavour and a decent bitterness. Competent but unremarkable.

Bottle. Yellow straw like colour and clear with no carbonation. Moderate attempt at a clean tasting lager.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Stew41 (1580) - Woodend, AUSTRALIA - FEB 6, 2008
Full bodied style with no shortage of drive from the malts. Good levels of bitterness, herbal spice and drive from very well handled hops. Balance is near perfect, making this extremely quaffable. Well made and well worth a look. Not unlike a top flight Kiwi pilsner.

330ml bottle from Waitrose, Kingston. Deep straw with minimal white head; sweet grainy aroma; herbal bitterness, rather astringent.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a small head. Aromas are biscuit and grain with dry hops. Floral and herbal. Flavours are dry and gritty with some biscuit. Green hops with a dry hops. OK.

Bottled. I fell asleep half way through drinking this. Boring beer from what is usually a challenging brewer.

Comments: Draught, Brew Wharf, London. Grainy, hesitating example with herbal hops that provide more astringency than bitterness and ridiculously hard water for a lager.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ethereal (2399) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 6, 2007
330ml bottle from Waitrose. Pale straw colour with a tiny head. Aroma and flavour both scream ’pils’ - simple but effective. I’m not a fan of pilsner in general, but this I find drinkable.
