COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Availabale on draught (keg) and in 330ml bottles. Also sold as Sainsbury’s Raspberry Wheat.
NOTE: This is not the same beer as Raspberry Grand Cru.
Based on a pale, lightly hopped wheat beer, the refreshingly crisp fruitiness, aroma and rich colour come from the addition of fresh raspberry puree during maturation. Balancing tartness with sweetness, on its own it is a delicious aperitif, as well being as a great partner for goat’s cheese, rich pate or anything chocolatey.

Bottle, from Hogsback store, at JF’s Calcutta Cup mini tasting - 02/02/13. Hazed crimson with a thin white head that clears to bubbles around the edge. Nose is slightly soured raspberries, light sugar, Ribena, raspberry syrup. Taste is tarte raspberries, some sugars, light mineral tones. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, sweet in the finish. Ok for what it is - bit of a palate cleanser and probably refreshing on a hot summers day/BBQ.

pours dark orange/golden with a sparkling white collar with almost the same color as the beer.
aroma of fruit acid
taste pungent fruit acid, raspberry (however not that noticeable), some vineger, soft body, light, a lot of carbonation, a bit disappointing

0.33 bottle. Very hazy, compote-colored liquid with virtually no head. Heavy aroma of fermented fruits - apples, pears, and raspberries - which hide almost everything else. Sour, fruity taste with a ton of fruits. Light to medium body, slick/thin texture, and a lively carbonation. Finish is medium long, sweet’n’sour or rather sour’n’sweet. Overall the brew is relatively bad, although it could be refreshing when served cold.

Pours a nice medium red colour. On the nose sour berry. Tastes of red berries....very sour red berries with a short bitter aftertaste. Not particularly pleasant.

Cant call this wheat.. Mostly like unintentional fruit/lambic, besides - undermatured. Straightforward sour raspberries - slightly artificial. Moderate sweet with moderate acidic sourness. One-timer. Not total disaster, but I homebrew much better ones

Aroma: Raspberry, beet. Appearance: swamp water. Bit sour and saison type, for this beer it should be sweeter

Colour is apricot, hazy. Head vanished. Gusher. Aroma’s mild fruity wheat malts, notes of some berries. Taste’s sour berries, apricot or peach, fruity malts, faint note of wommit. Not much finish. Limonade’ish on palate. Strange radler. [33cl special br btl, abv5%, BB?, B@Vinmonopolet Tromsdalen]

Bottle. Aroma acidic, apple vinegar. Hazy reddish amber colour. Taste acidic right from beginning, apples, fruity. Sourness is clearly present, but not overwhelming. Lightest of clove. Not much more. Rather simple and strange, but good for those who like this kind of thing, but drinkability is rather poor. IMO overall average.

Rød/Orange med høyt skum med et lite rosaskjær. Skummet blir fort borte. Duften er lett bringebær og gress. Smak er vannaktig bringebærsaft uten ettersmak. Foretrekker helt klart jålebukk fra Hubertus.
