Bottled, 330ml from Sainsbury, Banbury. Brown, red beer with very slight head. Quite a thinnish palate to this one, there is a roasty, malty flavour, but it doesn’t fill the mouth particularly, then there is a sweetish caramel, toffee note adding a little richness, the hop is background only, but in the end it does come together as a drinkable beer so reasonable marks.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Stew41 (1572) - Woodend, AUSTRALIA - AUG 30, 2008
First time I tried this it was quite badly skunked but this one looked a lot better. Classic appearance; darkish brown but with a cola-like clean appearance. Nose shows a nice elegant light chocolate note, maybe a touch of caramel, but definitely not much in the way of hops. Flavours are more more dry, and perhaps there is the mildest astringent hint from some roasted malt. Some bitter chocolate to finish.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 yngwie (10760) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 22, 2008
Bottle at Haket, Gothenburg. A clear, dark amber beer with a nice, beige off-white head. Grainy aroma with toffee. Grainy and sweet flavor with caramel and earthy hops. Medium body. Caramel and some cooked vegetables in the finish. Drinkable indeed, but a really boring beer. On the other hand, maybe the other beers I had the same afternoon messed it up. (080710)
