Dark brown with a small white head. Malty aroma with caramel and obvious presence of munich and vienna malts. Dry with a rich malty flavour.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 PeterA (340) - SLOVAK REPUBLIC - FEB 9, 2007
Draft at Brew Wharf. Weak aroma of caramel. Brown/amber color with very little head. Caramel flavors, overly sweet. The mouthfeel was over carbonated. An ok, but not a great beer.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 JorisPPattyn (7312) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - FEB 2, 2007
Very thick-creamy yellowish head over dark amber beer. Cakey nose, thick malts, ambrée, caramel; quite rich and powerful nose; hints at orange(zeste) but generally quite sweet. Seems a bit of ureum too, but blending in the general complexity. Caramel flavour, not overly sweet, with some undistinguished hops, but mainly determined by very rich and selected malts of various colouring, making it way more complex than expected of a less than 5 ABV beer. Some burning in the MF, pretty thick texture without becoming porridge-y or overly sweet by too many restsugars. After some drinking, the Vienna characteristics establish themselves more clearly, but it remains a beer with some Barley wine aspirations; which does not prevent it from being very well made indeed.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Rune (6125) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 24, 2006
Draught. Half pint served as Meantime Union at The Beer Wharf in London. Very nice dark brown in colour. Almost missing head. Roasted malty to the nose. Caramel maltiness in flavour gets support from a dash of dark fruits. Moderate to high carbonation level. Quite flavoursome dark lager (16.09.2006).
3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 8, 2006
Half pint poured at the Greenwich Union in Greenwich (London), a clear dark amber with a light tan bubby head. Too cold to note any aromas, maybe some light caramal. Chocolately flavours abound, combining with a hoppy bitterness, followed by a clean finish. Nice.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 thebeertourist (4271) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 7, 2006
UPDATED: SEP 28, 2006 On draught at the brewpub in Borough. Clear, chestnut brown with a small, but stable off-white head. Very hoppy nose with notes of citrus. Flavours start with caramel sweetness, but is balanced by citrussy hoppiness, ending quite dry. Rather soft. Another highly enjoyable beer from this microbrewery.
Rerated Sep 2006: On draught at Brew Wharf as Meantime Union. Sweet caramel flavours with some nuttiness. Less impressed. (4-3-6-3-10)
