Pours pretty dark brown with a medium brownish head. Aroma is roasted malts, flavor is mostly roasted malts too with some spices and caramel. Quite watery. Disappointing.

mikkopen (873) - Oulu, FINLAND - DEC 11, 2010
500 ml bottle. Clear dark reddish brown colour, medium-sized light beige head. Smoky aroma of roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Dryish, salty, roasted-malty, smoky flavour with a roasted, bitter finish. OK, but a bit too light-bodied.

Lalli (243) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 27, 2010
Bottle. Nice ruby red/copper brown color, rich and fluffy head. The first thing that strikes me in the aroma is the smoke. Wasn´t really expecting that, but as a great fan of Bamberg, it´s all good. Unfortunately, nothing else really happens with this beer, and it ends up feeling like a pretty lame copy of Schlenkerla´s Märzen. The palate is weak, and in the end the brew feels rather watery.

MikeKeller (899) - Kemi, FINLAND - NOV 22, 2010
Bottle from Alko. Dark cola brown colour, off-white staying head. Very smoky malty aroma. Smoke malts also in the taste which is not as sweet as Schlenkerlas’. A bit watery ending, a bit more body would be nice there. Quite nice smoky schwarz.

Brown colour. Aroma is smoke, coffee and a micture of dark fruits and vegetables. Flavour is roasted malts, just a little bit of metallic notes with a dry finish.

TET (1756) - FINLAND - NOV 19, 2010
Dark brown beer with medium and beige head. Aroma is medium roasted, sour, chaulk and dry with some coffee, also hint of chocolate. Flavour is balanced with aroma, roastiness, coffee, some sourness and sweetness; nothing special, but still balanced and nice. Quiote light body with medium/quite high carbonation. Easy and quite light winter warmer.

wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 17, 2010
{thoughts} Roasty, spicy and earthy; pleasantly dry and heavy with lingering flavors.

{elements} Medium brown hue with a red tinge; tall, light tan cream. Aroma is of mild coffee with kaleidoscopic underpinnings of vanilla, clove, old books, figs and caramel. Off-dry, mild and clean acidity, soft and balancing bitterness; broad coffee flavors without overpowering roast, soft caramel and evergreen / juniper; long, lingering smoky and spicy aftertaste. Slick texture, moderate carbonation, medium body. 50 cl bottle, best before 27/10/2011.

mile (3125) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 15, 2010
Bottle. Reddish brown, small to average fully diminishing head. Light to moderate lightly sweetish malty aroma, some roasted malt and barnyard. Body is light to medium, malty and lightly roasted flavor with notes of coffee. Finish is short to average, malty with some roasted malt and coffee. This thin bodied and lightly hopped beer from London is not very “wintery” up here north – more like autumn beer. On the positive side – no added spices.
