First appeared as a draught special in March/April 2011.
This is not the same beer as the Marks & Spencer Greenwich Red Ale. They are similar recipes, but are not the same. They use completely different hops and malts.
Brewed with 5 hop varieties from the Yakima Valley, Washington State.

Pint from Pheasant Worcester. Deep red colour with a thick white head. Aroma dulled as it was cold, but developed into fruit and berry. The taste has malt but also more of that berry and fruit, with a touch of citrus. A touch gassy.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2014 Keg at the Queen of Bradgate, Leicester. Very enjoyable. Thin bodied and brief around the chops. Lovely rye, orangey-glanced hop treat. Not hurtingly bitter, but enough of a bitter. Good fare.

From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 27.10.14. Pale copper. Dense and persistent beige head and lacing. American hops, grapefruit, lime and crystal malt in aroma. Softer and well-balanced taste.

On tap at Cardinal. Pours golden red with cream-coloured head. Malty aroma with a little coffee and toffee, and lots of lemon and lime. Malty, but fresh taste with citrus; little crop and easy to drink.

Butelka 33cl. OCZY : piwo jest całkiem przejrzyste o kolorze brązowym. Piana jest malutka o kolorze kości słoniowej. NOS : piwo ma troszeczkę maślane aromaty karmelowe, czerwone owoce kandyzowane, czerwony grejpfrut i krwista pomarańcza, tarta. Ogólnie piwo ma mało uderzające i bogate aromaty. USTA : umiarkowanie nasycone i wodniste o tłustej teksturze. Piwo jest umiarkowanie słodkie, dosyć wytrawne o średnio wyraźnej gorzkości. Gorzkość podobna do ziół i skórki cytrusowej. Posmak gorzki i cierpki podobny do goździków.

In short: A semi-hoppy dark golden ale with flavors muffled flavors. Boring.
How: Tap at Chimera, Oviedo Spain.
The look: Clear dark golden body topped by a persistent small off-white head.
In long: The moderately hoppy nose is somewhat grassy, a bit dank, some ripe fruits. Not the type of aroma that I usually get from IPAs. Rather slender body with soft bubbles. Taste is flavorless toasted cereals (Melba Toasts) with mild flavors of red berries jam, barley candies, grassy and citrusy hops. Soft bitterness. Overall lack of brightness, felt kind of muted. Not really tasty, not really refreshing, not really anything. Another boring beer from Meantime, in a way I admire this brewery, because with so many boring beers brewed over such a long period of time I personally find it rather remarkable that they keep trying.

Mřrk og klar bronse med lyst beige skum. God aroma med en del mandarin. Skjřre blomstertoner i smaken som avsluttes med en vannaktig bitterhet. munnfřlelse som klistrer seg til ganen.

Some few lacingss are left S: Smells like an English Bitter despite of the notes of American hops. Sweet and caramel malts, citrus hops T: Follows the nose. Sweet malts, caramel malts. Citrus and grassy hops. Upfront is mild sweet. End is mild bitter. In overall it’s quite watery in the mouth M: Light watery body. Medium to low carbonation. Mild citrus hoppy aftertaste O: Easy drinking. However too watery. Lacks body and some personality [ BA Review @ 8/3/2012 ]
