First appeared as a draught special in March/April 2011.
This is not the same beer as the Marks & Spencer Greenwich Red Ale. They are similar recipes, but are not the same. They use completely different hops and malts.
Brewed with 5 hop varieties from the Yakima Valley, Washington State.

Bottled in Jumbo supermarket in Mestreech. Dark orange colour with a medium beige head. Fruitz nose. Aroma is fruity and very lively with hops. Flavour is fruity and more hops giving a nice crisp complex end. Nice full body.

Bottle: Weizen//Shaker: Small airy beige head. Clear copper amber colored beer. Aroma of hop, minerals, thin hop tones, light manure, thin watery aroma but with a nice hop tone. Flavour is hoppy, some hop fruits like grapefruit, herbs, light toast, light minerals, light to medium bitter, nice hop tone! Aftertaste is hoppy, light bitter, light herbal and lighter malty. Low carbo, light watery sparkling mouthfeel, medium bodied. Not bad!

A light refreshing but under hopped beer. I was expecting more considering the name - tastes like a mass produced beer (something SABMiller might make?!). Rated by BrewTom

Bottle 33cl. Red brown with a beige head. Very nice aroma with plenty of fresh hops. A bit thin body but with a so nice hoppy taste that would consider this as an IPA style instead of Amber Ale. Rather short finish, but nice beer.

The Yakima hops are very present - aromawise as tastewise. Especially the first couple of sips is typed by the cistrus taste of this hop variety and offers a restricted bitterness - what makes this beer also enjoyable for the NON-IPA fraction of beer lovers! Then the British and German malt varieties take over and add a chewy sweetness. The whole, combined with the low ABV, makes of this beer a good summer drink. But by far not a perfect one as the body is too weak and the finish, despite a tart hop bitterness, is somehow castrated an stops in the middle of joy....

Meantime uit de fles. Geur is wat zurig en fruitig. Smaak is eerst iets zoet maar zet zich snel over in een bitter die niet fijn is

Bottle from Cellar Door, Four Oaks. Pours ruby red, single finger white head, medium carbonation. Aroma of fruits, lemon, orange...then some malts too, biscuit, caramel...Taste of malts at the start, caramel, toffee, toasted malts, biscuit, bread, then hops, orange, lemon, then a bit of yeast in there too, add some pine and woodiness. Nice.

Clear fox brown colour, white head. Quite fruity hoppy aroma, light caramel, malts. Light bitter flavour, light sweet caramel. Rather fizzy. Bitter finish.
