1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Drank too many of these to count while in Puerto Rico last week, because it is basically the only thing available down there. Don’t even think of finding a Dogfish Head or anything like that. This is a bud light type beer. I guess they like it because its always so damn hot down there, anything heavier would only slow you down.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Thanks to my brother for brining this one back from Puerto Rico. Pale gold colored body with a large bright white head. The carbonation is certainly in a hurry to get up the glass. The malty aroma is complemented with potatoes and some grassy notes. There is also some hints of black pepper. The taste has bitter apple core and hay. There is a metallic note in the finish. Highly carbonated and that is a little distracting for me.

Had this in San Juan. Nothing special about this at all. Hard to distinguish this from any American Macro.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2013 The ’Miller Lite’ of Puerto Rico. Available everywhere, seemingly in every store, bar and restaurant. Limp, lifeless, soulless beer. Nothing distinctive at all. Drink only as a last resort.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Tap, poolside at the Intercontinental Hotel in San Juan Puerto Rico. Not much aroma, Sweet bitter , biscuity, corn, sourdough, grassy. Clean yellow golden color, no lace or head. Bitter flavor, like aroma, weak. Lite body, watery mouthfeel, dry finish. A lawnmower for sure, when in San Juan do as the San Juanians do......

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Can 33 cl. @ San Juan port. Average rocky white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Clear pale yellow color. Aroma of wet grass, mild cardboard, thin caramel and some corn. Light bodied with a soft carbonation and light dry thin texture. Light sweet and bitter flavor. Light bitter finish.

Pours clear pale straw with no head. Highly carbonated. Aroma is not too offensive. Flavor was typical pale lager grainy crap This is a ’when in rome’ beer for me. I wouldn’t drink it unless I was in Puerto Rico.

Ugh...very pale and fizzy brew, tastes just like Bud Light. This brew is all over the place in PR, good thing I was able to find Old Harbor!

I traveled through western PR last winter and this beer was everywhere. It is certainly better than Corona or Heineken, both of which left me feeling tired in the Puerto Rican heat. This beer is lighter than anything I ordinarily drink by several degrees, but it’s just the thing when you’re having a barbeque on the beach.
