Big thanks to rustychiles for bringing me this little canned gem from Puerto Rico. Pours about the lightest color I have ever seen a beer pour. Pretty close to a Keystone light. Surprisingly large fluffy white head that dissipates slowly. Aroma is Pilsener malt and corn. Taste is the same, but with an aftertaste that really reminds me of tortillas, which is interesting. definitely not the typical corny taste in pale lagers, which is nice, but the beer still has hardly an flavor at all and is as thin as can be on the palate. Surprisingly clean fermentation for the area. Interesting to try, not very good at all. Better than BMC.

Pours a fizzy yellow with a white head. Aroma is corn, malt, water. Flavor is corn, malt, water, sweeter than most pale lagers in the finish. Another flavorless pale lager, yay! Its not bad, its just not something id seek out.

Dogbrick (8259) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 5, 2009
Sample at the Eurostash tasting on 04/30/09: Courtesy of a traveling colleague, this canned beer pours a clear nearly colorless pale yellow color with a medium and fizzy white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing. Mild grainy malt aroma with a touch of hops. The finish is short and lightly sweet malt and yeast. Pretty worthless excuse to check off PR overall.

Sampled as a precursor to Dogbrick’s Eurostash tasting. Clear yellow color with a big white head. Typical pale lager aroma of lager yeast and faint hop. Flavor is about the same with a touch of malt.

Drank too many of these to count while in Puerto Rico last week, because it is basically the only thing available down there. Don’t even think of finding a Dogfish Head or anything like that. This is a bud light type beer. I guess they like it because its always so damn hot down there, anything heavier would only slow you down.

Thanks to my brother for brining this one back from Puerto Rico. Pale gold colored body with a large bright white head. The carbonation is certainly in a hurry to get up the glass. The malty aroma is complemented with potatoes and some grassy notes. There is also some hints of black pepper. The taste has bitter apple core and hay. There is a metallic note in the finish. Highly carbonated and that is a little distracting for me.

Had this in San Juan. Nothing special about this at all. Hard to distinguish this from any American Macro.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2013 The ’Miller Lite’ of Puerto Rico. Available everywhere, seemingly in every store, bar and restaurant. Limp, lifeless, soulless beer. Nothing distinctive at all. Drink only as a last resort.

Tap, poolside at the Intercontinental Hotel in San Juan Puerto Rico. Not much aroma, Sweet bitter , biscuity, corn, sourdough, grassy. Clean yellow golden color, no lace or head. Bitter flavor, like aroma, weak. Lite body, watery mouthfeel, dry finish. A lawnmower for sure, when in San Juan do as the San Juanians do......
