Theres not a lot of subtlety about this beer. Big on malt, big on hops. A big biscuity malt body is balanced against a heavy hit of fruit from a blend of US hops and a fairly dry finish

Gravity cask at Bedford Beer Festival. Mid-gold with a slight haze. Very little head. Luscious aroma of apple, pine, vinegar and wood. Savoury-bitter taste with a hoppy bitter aftertaste and finish. Weaker palette than I like but very well done nonetheless.

Cask at The Salmon, Leicester; chestnut brown, moderate creamy white head; smooth agressive bitterness balanced by a really good citrus fruitiness, a bit of spice, then yet more fruit and a touch of smoke in the aftertaste; a quality beer - evidenced by me having to have a second half whilst eschewing several other untried beers on the bar: a sure sign of a 4.0+ beer.

Gravity Dispense at EBF XV, 09/08/13. Murky dark orange/amber with little in the way of a head. Nose is grapefruit, bitter orange, bready malts, light pine, hop notes. Taste comprises candied sugars, orange pith, earthy hops, citrus notes. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Ok offering but not one I’d return to in this style.
