weezfour (82), Oradell, New Jersey, USA May 4, 2008 Wasn’t a fan of this offering. Hard to place why, just couldn’t get past the taste. Very interesting, but, in my case, very hard to drink. Hmm.
elihapa (317), Connecticut, USA Jul 23, 2008 12/28/07 notes: decent amber, similar in quality to Opa Opa Red Rock just weaker. Just some malt touches with some balancing hops. bobaidan (307), Farmington, Connecticut, USA Jul 9, 2008 Pours clear light gold with a medium sized head. Aroma is sublte with some caramel malt and a touch of hops. Flavor is pretty much the same. A lackluster beer. IrishBoy (2163), Bakersfield, California, USA Jul 10, 2007 Bottle from Bottle Barn; Nose is fairly faint with some light caramel; copper color with a small offwhite head; flavor has some mild hop bitterness and caramel. Not much of an amber ale! Derek881 (349), Frederick, Maryland, USA Jul 3, 2007 Sampled from the six-pack I bought at the brewey in Hilo, poured into a pint glass. A very clear beer with low bubbles and a dark amber-red color with a good sized foamy/creamy off-white head. The aroma has caramel malt and some earthy and grainy hops. A bitter and sour taste with a touch of sweetness. Mild carbonation, and a full texture with a rough, bubbly finish; somewhat thin and a touch dry.
