4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark ruby beer with quickly dying thin tan head. Smooth, albeit a bit thin, the mouthfeel is pleasant .. caramel and lightly hopped, this is a nice middle-of-the-road ale.

most reds Iíve had have an overwhelming sprucy / astringent flavor to them. not this one - itís main flavors are of well roasted malt - almost a nutty mollasses note on the finish... nose has a bit of caramel to it... hardly bitter at all... very easy drinking.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from the bottle to red solo cup on a back patio overlooking the ocean in Maui. Aroma is sweet malt, flavor is similar but does have some noticeable hop character. Palate is smooth and clean great for the warm Hawaii afternoons!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled (big thanks to brunnsbe). Dark amber colour, white head. Aroma is malty, hoppy and plummy. Also some caramel. The flavour is quite similar. Very wellbalanced. In my opinion very underrated on RateBeer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear chestnut ale with a white head that fades fast. Nose of floral hops. Taste of floral hops and malt with a bitter hoppy aftertaste. Mouth maybe a little thin but nicely fizzy. Overall, an ok local brew, drunk in Hawaii. Especially good draft after a round of golf.

Lovely deep red, similar to that on the bottle with a great off-white head. Smells quite a lot like a toffee apple, a little sickly but fresh. The toffee apple thing really carries through to the taste. Very sweet and sticky in the mouth. Sweet and oily in the finish. Very tasty a little tingly on the tongue.

For my dad. From a bottle. The body was dark copper colored. A pretty beer. The aroma had some iced tea, with caramel and some chocolate. The taste had chocolate and some roast coffee. There was a also a hint of citrus. Good stuff. I am sure itís eve better on tap.

I drank two of these from bottles (different six-packs). And had two very different experiences. Iíll give them the benefit of the doubt and rate the positive one. Pours amber/red/brown with a good lasting head. Aroma is roasted malt. Flavor is big, complex, rounded, and smooth malt. Very enjoyable. Finish is smooth and easy. Mouthfeel was super soft almost silky. That other bottle though. Just tasted sour and tainted, sort of a vinegarish taste. Probably contaminated.

Bottle. Candied cherry malt aroma. Dark amber color with minimal head. Dried cherry/apricot malt and moderate hops flavor - almost has a Belgian ale flavor. Very nice palate. One of the best amber ales I’ve ever had.
