Hazy mahogany with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with fairly hard roasted malt, caramel and hops. Flavor had hard roasted malt with caramel, hops and nuts. Finished sweet.

heavy (2127) - Split, CROATIA - MAR 22, 2010
05/03 Draught at the brewpub. It had murky brown body with smaller brownish head. Coffee dominating aroma, nice, but quite strange oily and maybe nutty. Very nice coffee and caramel flavor, full bodied with a touch of some spices and alcohol yet very smooth and even yeasty like weizenbocks are. Full bodied with longer sweet caramel finish. Alcohol is felt quite much, actually you get a feeling of 8,6% rather than 6,8%. Except that fact, this is really a nice beer, glad to have caught it here!

On tap, the beer for March I reckon, at the brewpub. Or maybe for February, but not yet gone... hmm. Anyway, poured an extremely dark brown with a small white head. Dusty roasty oily coffeish nose, light notes of alcohol. Yoghurty roasty caramel-coffee taste, some lightly acidic hopiness in the aftertaste, carrying some bitterness. Sweet, and very nice, maybe more than expected.
