Manure aroma. Now that’s truly organic! Cloudy yellow, thin head, full of floaties.Beans and manure flavor. Rice finish. What is this? More flavorful than a macro, but this is not a good way. I was looking forward to this beer. On paper, this looked like it might be pretty neat. In the end, it is just a bad tasting beer.

Happy to try this - love some of the Meinklang wines, especially the Pinot Noir a few years back, interested to see what they do with beer. Pales a slightly hazy gold. Aroma is grainy, a touch bready. Flavor is interesting, very focused on malts. Surprisingly full bodied, with an almost berry note to the otherwise crackery grains. Hops only there to provide balancing bitterness. Intersting what the traditional grains did for this brew.

"Brewed with ancient grains"... toivottavasti eivät ole pilaantunutta viljaa käyttäneet.

Semi clear copper body, white head. Aroma of strong malt, muesli, cereal and bread. Nice malty taste. Balanced. No noticeable bitterness.

TET (1910) - FINLAND - DEC 29, 2010
Slightly orange yellow beer quite weak and blond head. Aroma is malty, biscuity and lots of grass, hint of honey. Light and even watery to drink, still carbonation is smooth and nice. Taste is quite similar than aroma, pure malts and biscuits, some grassy hops with a quite light bitterness. There are nothing special but still pure, light and enjoyable beer; maybe a better beer than points indicates?

Cloudy orange beer, thin head with lasting creaminess. Sweetish aroma, grainy, slightly papery. A hint of grassy hops, a hint of nuts in the finish. Dull flavor, not sweet norskia dry. Quite thin too. Light bitterness in the finish with some grains. Nice, slightly fizzy carbonation.

Bottled 330ml (KKK-Kamppi, BBE 03/2011)
Yellow color, small steady creamy white head, tiny floating particles. Bready-ryeish aroma. Light body and palate. Flavor is also bready, wheat and rye bread, rough hops, grains. Typical grainy organic beer flavor. Not very refreshing.

0.33 l bottle from K-Kamppi, Helsinki. Slightly hazy copper color. Nutty and grainy aroma with some of honey. Nutty and grainy-wheaty taste with low grassy bitteness. Somewhat watery palate. Taste is mild and slightly dull, not very fresh (BB March 2011).

330ml bottle (K Kamppi, Helsinki)
6 Really grainy aroma, husky, smells eco. A bit of potato salad too.
3 Mid orange, tiny brief head.
6 Rich estery retronasals, hops come through too quite clearly. Good and noble. Taste is a quite simple as lagers go, but it’s got plenty of grains, and a barky bitter bite.
3 Medium palate, crisp carbonation. Finish back to husky again, and with a pleasant, but slightly papery hop component.
11 Very competent lager, one of the best that hasn’t actually made me go wow (petolinttu). And as I don’t like light-coloured lagers generally, that must make this a very good traditional hoppy lager.
