3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mattphilips (802) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 10, 2012
Sörmanufaktúra, Budapest. Sötét, áttetsző borostyán szín, szivacsos és egyben kissé krémes, közepesen kitartó sárgás hab. Illata malátás, karamelles és diós. Íze hasonlóan édeskés, kevés gyógyfüves komló teszi mégis kiegyensúlyozottá. Közepesen testes és szénsavas, könnyen iható. Remek szezonális sör, egyszerre melenget és beszéltet.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 3fourths (6933) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 22, 2012
bottle, best by date February 2012.
clear rich brick red body with a soft just-white head. striking calcium / mineral water and toasted Munich malt nose with nut oil, toffee and baked bread fun. touches of maraschino cherry and sweet apple show up as it breathes. medium body with an oily and slick texture, very smooth with rich sweet almond cake / amaretto flavored malt. overall it seems very well put-together, though much drier than what I expect (and like) in festbier malt-bombs.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Leighton (6889) - London, ENGLAND - OCT 13, 2012
Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012, London. Pours clear, amber-gold with a fine, foamy white head. Bready nose, lots of toasty malts. Medium sweet flavor, big bread, light caramel. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, light toasty cereal, more bread. It’s sweet and basic - it’s a marzen. Fine.

Bottled@chriso pre-gbbf shindig 2012. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and quite malty as well. Flavour is fruity, sweet malty with some slight grassy and herbal notes. Mild toasted notes in the finish as well. Pleasant festbier, which is a bit fruitier than the usual German beer.
