(bottle) pours a clear copper colour with a creamy off-white head. strange aroma of chewy pale malts, tobacco, butterscotch, herbal hops and dried fruit. flavour is mostly the same, with lots of roasted malts and dark fruit, no butter present, with a medium-bitter finish. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.

In bottle at home. Pours a ruby -chestnut colour with a thin beige head. Aroma of strawberry jam, caramel, barley and biscuity malt. Interesting fruity flavour also, definite strawberry jam with some grassy hops, caramel and alcohol also. This is pretty different. Alcohol is fairly present. Mild carbonation and light CO2 prickle. Not bad.

Test vom 11.1.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,15,14,13,9,13 - 13,25

Grima (2080) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JAN 29, 2011
The beer in glass is a beautiful, dark brown, reddish with a lot of fine, high foam. Smell is roasted malty with a caramel-term note. It starts roasted malt, but very quickly sweet-malty caramel with a slightly chocolaty note. The aftertaste is again intense roasty with a great caramel flavor, the perfect complement.

Bottled. Clear copper amber body with small lively bubbles and a rocky and lasting off-white head. Smell of caramel and nuts. Cara-malty aroma escorted by toasted malt and mild hops. Slick mouthfeel. Citric and nutty finish underpainted gently by herbs. Tasty.

Sörmanufaktúra, Budapest. Sötét, áttetsző borostyán szín, szivacsos és egyben kissé krémes, közepesen kitartó sárgás hab. Illata malátás, karamelles és diós. Íze hasonlóan édeskés, kevés gyógyfüves komló teszi mégis kiegyensúlyozottá. Közepesen testes és szénsavas, könnyen iható. Remek szezonális sör, egyszerre melenget és beszéltet.

0,5 l bottle. Simple nearly cheap looking label art work. Dark amber in the glass, small short living head. Dark fruity and malty an the nose. Starts the same, with a big malty taste. Pleasant sweetness in the background, berrie fruits, caramell, nuts and light alcoholic hints. Overall that malt bed. Big positive surprise. Thanks to kappldav123 for that bottle.

Bottle 0.5l. Pours deep amber with a large steady off white head. Aroma has some roasted notes with a slight sourness. Unspectacular. Taste is medium sweet, low bitterness, caramel, coffee. Overall a perfect balance of malty sweetness and bitterness. Really good.

Flasche von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin-Wedding. - Herrlich kitschiges rosarotes Etikett. Goldbraun, klar; rasch verschwindender Schaum.
