500ml can. Pours a clear medium gold, with a small off-white head, which neither lasts nor leaves much lace. There is a sickly sweetness to the aroma, but not much else going on. Hops are next to non-existent, but there is a fairly unpleasant sour flavour up front, giving way to an oily mouthfeel and an off treacley sweetness in the finish. Terrible stuff, with no real redeeming features whatsoever.

Thanks! to Benzai. 330 ml. green bottle sampled @ ZZT XIII. Pale golden, completely clear & zero head. Nose is hugely metallic with skunk, mineral, pretty awful. Taste is awful skunk, corn, nasty sweetish, caramel, metallic skunk mixed with this weird sweetness. The whole is thin on top as well. Nope, not good at all. Really poor.

Cristal clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts and adjunct. Dito flavour. Malty finish.
(from 33cL bottle @ ZZT XII, ’Getting Joes’d to it’ Oirschot. Thanks for sharing, Benzai!)

Bottle @ ZZT XII. Clear golden color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, a bit grainy, decently bitter. Actually quite decent haha. Total surprise. Average body and carbonation.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2015 Pretty standard stuff aside from being stronger than it tastes. There is a bit of a sweet malt to it which is nice though sadly it?s somewhat set back by a bit of a metallic edge. As canned lagers go though it?s alright and you could pace yourself on it. EDIT: just had it chilled and it dulls the sweet, sickly edge and improves it quite a lot.

At a beer tasting. Drinkable and that was it. To strong, no really pleasuring flavours.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2014 500ml can served in an ordinary glass. As far as I can remember, my first Egyptian beer. A: Pours a clear golden yellow color forming a medium white and bubbled head that dissipates quickly but not totally leaving few lacings only S: Strong sweet malts and alcohol. Artificial and somehow plastic. Candy and a touch of citrus hops. Bready lager yeast profile T: Sweet and booze. Strong notes of sweet malts, caramel malts, candy. Some artificial plastic notes can be also felt in the mouth. End is light bitter. Hops profile is citrus Heineken-like M: Heavy, sweet and molasses body. Strong carbonation. Bittersweet aftertaste O: Low drinkability. Terrible Lager [ BA Review @ 10/14/2013 ]

.33 can from Giza brought back to Belgrade by BalkanMac. Great one to try, though it is certainly a high-test malt liquor. Hard writing a review while listening to Tom Brosseau .. the distinct lack of poetry of the beer and Tom’s lyrics class while trying to make sense of both. Clear agressive malts, spritzer and sweet. Backbone is all sweet sparkling malt, not rudder correction for hops or flavor here. Just getting the job (of 8% lager in a alcohol-intoleranant country done in a reasonably flavorful manner will do. not a horrible beer.

I have tasted a few 8% beers in the past and most of them have been undrinkable, this on the other hand is very drinkable and doesn’t taste like an 8% beer.

From a 330ml can in hotel room in Shark Bay. Pale gold with a disappearing halo. Aroma of honey, beeswax, lemon cake and rubber. Hot, yeasty and rubbery with the peppery warmth of alcohol more than evident. Dunked Twiglet, TCP and saline notes. A touch dank. Pretty rough: utterly unfinishable, in fact.
