Ungstrup (11408), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 28, 2004 A pinkish red beer with a fine lasting off-white head. The aroma is sweet with hints of strawberries and wood. The flavor is sweet but with hints of sourness from the wild fermentation in the background and notes of strawberries and wood. omhper (10731), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 25, 2002 Red coloured. Balanced acidity and fresh strawberry flavour. Sparkling mouthfeel.
Interesting experiment. Papsoe (10580), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 8, 2005 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Beautiful, clear dark amber with a slight, underlying shade of red. Crude, white head. Slightly tart aroma with a touch of fruit. Pronounced lambic tartness neatly balanced by the sweetness from the strawberries and the strawberry pulp. But still the character is very different from Belgian lambic. Leaves a pleasant tartness on your palate. A surprisingly authentic fruit lambic. 231005 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Nov 28, 2000 Sweetish flavour. The flavours are kind of masked by the fruit in this version. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 27, 2008 35.5 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange to redish with a lacing faint pink to white head. Artificial strawberry aroma. Sweet flavour with a distinct strawberry flavour. Somewhat artificial finish with a distinct sweetness. Candy pop in a bottle yet enjoyable.
