not vegetarian-friendly. otherwise from what i remember, a watery macro lager. poor excuse for beer. Light beer is better.

If VB is known as the Green Death, This is the Red Death......Horrid stuff, I would rather drink light beer
1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 happytadpole (5) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 30, 2007 does not count
This one has a red label so you can distinguish it from VB. Because after a couple of mouthfuls, you can’t tell the difference taste-wise. That said, Melbourne Bitter drinkers like to think of themselves as a step up from VB drinkers. I don’t know how this works. Maybe they’re mostly from Melbourne and can’t drink VB there because, Jesus, they drink that in Sydney, mate.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 voota (765) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 30, 2007
An old favorite of mine, this is the height of Australian pale lagers for me. Its clean (enough), its bitter, its a bit malty and yeasty, and its usually quite cheap. After being away from Australia for a year, then to drink one of these again... you realize that it offers a flavour that you find nowhere else. Perhaps its the abrasive pride of ringwood hops, maybe its the loads of adjuncts they bulk the alcohol with... who knows. Its just a special beer and underated in the Victorian beer-drinking population.

375 ml can - Pale yellow with a thin white head. Thin bodied, medium carbonation, artificial tasting. Similar to Fosters only with a slightly more bitter, metallic finish.
