This product displays the fullness and balance of CUB’s traditional lagers. The fruity/yeasty aroma and increased bitterness produces a tasty drop.

Too similar to Victoria Bitter, although perhaps slightly more drinkable (not a big statement).

If you like punching a durry, punching your Mrs OR both, then THIS is the beer for you. Best served ice cold in a glass stubbie/long neck which can conveniently be used as a semi deadly weapon at the drop of a hat. Bitter by name, bitter by taste, bitter disappointment.

Bottle/stubbie. Poured a crystal clear golden amber colour with a one-finger bright white foamy head that retained OK and laced OK. Carbonation high with coarse bubbles giving a coarse mouthfeel. Aroma subtly of malt, hint of grain and metal; no obvious hops. Taste is slightly sweet with a hint of metal, no real bitterness but has an acrid tartness. Light, thin and watery. Crisp, smooth and clean if cold and with a slightly acrid tartness on the finish.

375 ml Dose. Goldgelbes Bier, kaum Schaum. Getreidiger süsser Duft. Wenig herber Geschmack. Malz, kaum Hopfen. Das ist kein Bitter!

Pours out clear golden with high fluffy head. Musty cardboard aroma, tastes like white school paste. At least a hint of bitterness at the finish, but a tough drink to get down.

Not terrible but only just, I’m not really into it, just bland boring stuff. Don’t bother.

750ml bottle into glass. Has that chemical vegetable smell most CUB beers have. Reminds me a little of chlorine. Yellow/amber with thin white head. Highly carbonated. Taste is sweet then WHAM! full on tinny vegetable aftertaste. I’ve always wondered what the difference between this and VB was, now I know. This is slightly less gag-inducing.

Can, pours golden with frothy head that disappears. Light carbonation. Honeycomb aroma. Very easy drinking sweet drop with dry malty aftertaste. Visitor to Melbourne so had to try...

Somehow this piece of vomit became the hipster/musician beer in Melbourne, maybe because you get it as a rider when playing in an unknown indie band in some hole on Smith st. I could make a better homebrew than this using a black and gold ringwood ale kit and a kilo of white sugar. Utter rubbish.
