3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours medium amber with a nice head that lingers well, leaving some lacing. Slight haze. Aroma is pretty strong malt and honey, somewhat reminiscent of a marzen. bare hints of hops. Tastes pretty fresh for a "retired" beer. Again, sweet honey-malt characters up front, but not as strong as the aroma. Hops in the background, faint but noticeable. Much better than the original Menabrea, and something I will look for next time I am in Italy. As long as I am somewhere with other choices, I will probably not seek this one out.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured a dark amber with a laarge off white head. Smells of grainy corn and some iced tea came out. The taste was corny with some notes of caramel behind that. There is also a little bit of milk chocolate in the aftertaste. The light and thin body is ok for this style. The flavors are a little to close to a bad American Dark Lager for my tastes.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
dark amber in colour with thick creamy white head. Vanilla and pepermint aroma. Sweet malty taste with harsh hop aftertaste. As you get let in warm more, honey flavours come through.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I saw a box of this stuff on the floor at Bottle Barn and decided to try it, not expecting much. It is hardly a great beer, but it is actually quite nice, tasty, and smooth. It is a light reddish copper with a fairly thick off-white head that dissipates slowly. The aroma is sweet rice crispies and fruit and the taste is basic, but fairly full, primarily being fairly sweet lwith faint bitterness and a lightly toasted-grain finish and aftertaste. It is smooth and light.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Bottle Barn. Aroma of yeast and caramel - and arguably bread. Darkish amber color with a white head that diminished rapidly. Thin to medium body with very mild carbonation. The flavor is fruit over caramel. The finish is rather dry, with a bitterness that accumulates with time. Seems a very tasty version of the style.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Burnt orange color with a foamy white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Fairly weak aroma of malt and bread. Flavor a muddy mix of malt and vague sweetish fruitiness. Way too watery and bland. Bottle looks pretty, though.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle: Clear amber, red colur, with lots of co2, and a nice creamy white head.
Aroma was malty, grainy, citric, and a bit metalic in the end. Flavor has a smouth/creamy/Butter mouth feeling, with a almost flat flavor. Smouth and a bit caramel in the end. Thin body, and a smouth thin to medium finish.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a clear amber brown with a big off white head. A slight sweet hoppy nose with a nutty edge. Metallic with a slight nutty flavor. There’s potential, but it doesn’t really come through. Though the nut character is nice. It is drinkable, sure. But for an anniversary edition brew, I am not blown away.
