2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap, DBF 2004. Amber colour, moderate white head and gentle condition. Low dark malt in the nose, hints of caramel and roastiness in the mouth and a short sweet finish. I am guessing that this is the beer that was at the DBF, the festival program listed it as Birra Menabrea Amber.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear amber with medium off-white head. Aroma is mild sweet, cereal. Taste is mild sweet, cereal, light caramel, some earthy bitterness showing up toward the swallow. Light-medium body. Not bad, but doesn’t measure up to what one might expect from an "anniversary Ale."

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear amber with a frothy off-white head. Cereal aroma, some sweetness, but rather plain jane. The flavor lices up to the expectations set by the aroma, cereal and some sweetness. There is a modedrate amount of bitterness but a whole lot. Medium bodied . Decent but as argoO just said to me "If this is their 150th anniversary I hate to see what their regular beer is like."

Bottled. Clear copper-golden colour, white head, little existing. Toasted aroma (toasted bread), caramel, light malty, weak toffee, weak sweet maize aroma. Light sweet taste (honey like), sweet maize, light herbal bitterness, aftertaste of bitter almond, hazelnut. Light body, watery texture. A thin beer, not exciting.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Is typical amber coloured - beautiful golden brown - with a heavy froat. Tiny bubles which is there through the hole beer. The smell is fresh and bitter. Also taste is frech, fruity and bitter and hold for a long time - almost forever. A little bit flat, but all in all a good Italian beer.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
The beer pours a crystal clear deep mahogany color with a substantial light tan head that is semi-creamy in texture and the residual lace a decent sheet to cover the glass. Nose is musty with a sweet malt background; start is cloyingly sweet, decent malt profile and a thin to watery feel at the top. Finish is mildly acidic, the hops weak and the aftertaste dry and to long lasting, can’t say it did much for me.
