2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. It might be a bit corny and a bit watery but it’s certainly not bad, especially for a pale lager. It’s slightly malty with perfectly discernible hoppy notes. Goes down quite easily. Ok.

0.33L bottle. Clear golden, very small foam. German pale hop and light vinegar aroma. Metallic, sour vinegar, watery, raw peanut flavors. Quite tasteless and watery. Disturbing metallic aftertaste.

Bottle, small stable head, clear deepish gold colour, light malty flavour, honey bready flavour with a light to medium bitterness. Boring, but quite drinkable and without fault.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Beer connoisseurs will admit their moderate appreciation for Menabrea as being one of the best industrial pale lagers in Italy; I personally never quite found the difference between this and more infamous labels, like for example Moretti Baffo d’Oro. Stays on the drinkable side, but a Eurolager indeed.

La Menabrea non mi ha mai convinto del tutto. Slavata e con un finale amarognolo che non riesco proprio a farmi piacere.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Medium gold with a lasting, lacy, white, thin head. Smells of flowers, hay, malt, grain and toasted bread. Medium thin body with soft carbonation. Tastes of sweet pale malt, butter, light fruit with a bitter corn, dry slightly ashy finish. Enjoyable but not that refreshing on a hot day.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottled 330ml. -found somewhere in Italy, rated in Portugal. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, cardboardish nose. Slight malty, cardboard and weak cereals with bitterish watery finish. Not good as I’ve expected.
