3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear pale golden with a fluffy white heas. Clean nose, touch of grass, touch of hop and a little alcohol present. The initial grassy flavour quickly gives way to a herb hop bitterness, with lemon and grapefruit to sweeten slightly before a smooth malt flavourand a touch pf vanilla to finish. Hop and vanilla are left lingering on the palate, very drinkable and quite complex despite average aroma.

Bottle from hotel in naples. Dark yellow beer with a halo. Aroma is grassy and a bit piney. Can taste the alcohol, it’s got short lived bitterness and a strange tangy sweetness. Not that bad.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
330ml bottle - The Ticks on the Bus Go Down and Down tasting - thanks Marduk!
Really bready aroma, half of the bus smells of dark bread now, and we didn’t even spill any. Close up, it’s a pretty rough strong lager. Sweetness quite honey-like. Something weirdly lemonadey about it. Also some odd vinegary spike. Pretty rough taste. ESL malts, but very dirty earthy, minerally, chalky, metallic. The finish is hoppy, but in a nasty way, so metallic. Ugh, wouldn’t chose to have this when eastern Europe has better ESLs. Hmm, I think the whole bus smelt of bread because everyone was cracking open their packed lunches. There’s a dog in my cup. Rough rough rough.
