In compagnia fra uno stuzzichino e l’altro, vi dirò che proprio male non era, forse un pò troppo carbonata per i miei gusti, ma colore e aroma non sono disprezzabili.

bottle, 0.66cl. Classic lager with good foam, not excessive. Starts bitter, with simple but pleasant taste, quite balanced. Finishes less bitter with lot of vanilla. Not complex, but very good value for money for 1.3€.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2013 0.66 bottle brewed at Forst plant. Similar to Forst Premium, focusing on herbs. Poured into a frozen small mug, appears very pale yellow, thin and fine white head (started very creamy, maybe because of extremely low temperature). Nose is mostly herbs, hops, like a pilsener. Light malt, corn predominance, sweet hops. Tastes a bit salty, moderate bitter finish. Medium carbonation, thin body, dry feel. A bit flat but refreshing and perfect during meals. Like Forst and Castello, this is the best of Italian industrial production.

Bottled. Grass & grain, a tolerable pale lager better than most you’ll find from these parts.

Etwas fruchtiger Abgang, leicht malzig, angenehm. Test vom 11.3.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,9,10,9,6,9 - 8,70

12 oz bottle at fritti restaurant. pours a light golden color, not a lot of aroma to it, very light grass. light bodied, overall kind of boring

Boring lager appearance, weak yellow with just a hint of head. Aroma of cardboard and the homeless - I get a whiff of that "begging for change" aroma you catch every so often when some guy with a paper cup starts harassing you. Flavour is all European cardboard - like you went to a recycling plant just outside of Milan and started sucking on the separated pulp bundles hoping to get drunk. Smooth mouthfeel of rice adjuncts. This thing is just horrid on every level.

Bottle. Italy has given us great cuisine, art, literature, and music, so they get a lot of wiggle room for their occasional mistakes, as far as I’m concerned. This beer is one of those mistakes. On one hand, it’s skunky and metallic. On the other hand, it’s so neutral that even the skunky metal (and wouldn’t that make a great band name?) fails to offend. Maybe when this grows up, it’ll be beer.

Bottle purchases in Cesana, Italy. Colour: Mostly yellow with small hint of gold and a medium head. Nose: metallic blast settling into sweet corn, abundant yeast and vanilla tannins. Not bad after the initial sniff. Taste: Quite different then the nose - slightly bitter-floral and some distinct sour hops, peach-like fruit mid-palate and custard-sweet finish with a dying appearence of more hops. Complicated but not anywhere near perfectly crafted. Very fizzy mouth-feel.

Bottle served in a lager glass. Chardonnay in color with a big fluffy white head. Nose is bright and lightly malted. Flavor is similar. Light-medium body, creamy texture, good carbonation and a dry finish. Good pale lager.
