Giocosa IPA!

Prodotta tutto l’anno.

Black red reflection. Tan small head with good lacing. Sweet aroma of pollen and propolis. Sweet floral and honey taste that quickly turns into a strong bitterness of burnt. Smooth palate and sticky mouthfeel

Big strong head, dark brown, hazy, with yeast particles. Aroma: burned coffee, citrus and grassy hops, light yeast notes. Taste: moderate bitterness, light sweeteness. Flavour: burned robusta, hops some yeast. Good, but with some strange notes.

25cl bottle at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels (Belgium). A pitch black IPA with lovely beige, rocky foam. Verry hoppy, even floral or grassy aromas flavour a light bodied, perfect quench beer. The hops are overwhelming, though soft enough to not make the beer that bitter.

Bottle, thanks to Geoff T. Black with mocca head. Appropriately thin mouth feel is ideal for letting the hop flavour emerge over the dark malt notes.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2015 Una black IPA di buon carattere. Note tostate si accompagnano alle note resinose e agrumate dei luppoli americani. Buon corpo e buona consistenza della bevuta. Bel retrogusto

On tap at Hoppy Days. Almost black colour, beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, liquorice, roasted malts, chocolate, quite hoppy. Flavour is creamy, chocolate, liquorice, roasted malts, citrusy hops, grapefruit bitter finish. Medium-bodied, drinks really easy. Very good.

330ml bottle enjoyed @ home. Pours cola-like with a big beige head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit and light roasted malt. Flavour is medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium body, rather thin texture, average to soft carbonation. Finish is mild and a little boring.
