Deep golden amber in color, our Oktoberfest is brewed with generous blends of imported malt and hops. This Limited Edition Lager is delightfully balanced and very smooth. A perfect complement to autumn!

Bruegala 2009 sampling - Pours a nice clear copper-orange color with a modest off-white head which leaves some good lacing. Aroma is has a light nutty, caramel and toasted malt profile with some light grassy hoppiness but overall is light. Flavor is malty with Munich and sweet from the caramel malt. Modest body with a very creamy texture and a modest amount of carbonation. Overall decent but there are better options out there.

Bottle from Tylers. This is a pretty shitty marzen. Not a huge fan of the style and this one is just not very good. Will not drink again.

(Bottle courtesy of Headbanger) - Color is a golden amber with light carbonation and a thin head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Taste is sweet and smooth. Starting with a medium body it goes down with an almost creamy feel. Finish is sweet with a mild caramel flavor and just a touch of bitterness. After taste is a lingering of the sweet with a little hop spice. This is a nice light Märzen.

Rich amber foamy tan head that fades. Malty yeasty apple aroma. Taste is sweet apple, some roast but not bitter, needs some more hop character. Not balanced, overly sweet, either needs roast bitter or hop bitter.

12oz bottle 5/3/09 (Binnys Naperville)-Pours a ruby amber with a small tan covering for a head. Aroma of caramel and malt. Taste of the same with a bit of toffee thrown in. This medium bodied brew is another good seasonal beer from Mendocino which I think is better than their regular line.

Overall Impression: I enjoyed this one, had a great nose, some malty caramel flavors, and a solid taste that makes you feel like autumn.

Bottle. Poured an orange brown with a off-white head that settles to a ring. Malty aroma with a mix of spice. Caramel flavor with light spices and hints of apple. Medium body and sweet throughout.

12 oz bottle purchased at Frugal MacDoogal’s in Nashville. Poured a clear golden red color with a one finger off white head that quickly dissipated leaving little/no lacing. The aroma was caramel and sweet malt. The flavor is cereal and caramel with toffee and an earthy finish. The palate was average. The carbonation was a little too soft. The body was medium. The mouthfeel was silky and clean.
