Commercial Description:
Deep golden amber in color, our Oktoberfest is brewed with generous blends of imported malt and hops. This Limited Edition Lager is delightfully balanced and very smooth. A perfect complement to autumn!

This beer pours a deep copperish colour with a medium size white head. sweeter then i expected, but very pleasent. pecans, caramel and a little pear in the aroma. Semi-sweet, with a light mouthfeel. typical marzen, not too exciting.

as always Mendocino’s seasonal are an impressive lot. very deep velvet amber hues and a luscious dark fruit and earthy malts give this Marzen a very good holiday drinkability. it still holds up long after thanksgiving, trust me....now why would I lie to ya

Aug. 2007 - Deep amber/brown color with decent head, no lacing. Aroma of bready malts. Flavor was caramel and bready malts, toasty. It was sweet and the problem is that it was really uncarbonated...almost flat (but had a good head?). A little cloying.

Bottle. Smells slightly of hops but has a good caramel malt smell. Nice amber color. This is the best American made Oktoberfest beer on the market. For those who like Marzen type beers you will love this one.

Bottle, and a rather old one at that. A rich red color with minimal head. Smells like caramel and malts. The taste is overpowered by malt and it left my mouth wanting a good rinse. This wasn’t very good at all, but I guess that’s what I get for buying the $1/bottle past-prime seasonal.
