Commercial Description:
Black Eye Ale is a unique blend of two of our popular brands - Black Hawk Stout & Eye of the Hawk Select Ale. Black Eye Ale is big in flavor and smooth in finish. The high percentage of dark & specialty malts in Black Hawk Stout enriches the silky warming character of Eye of the Hawk Select Ale, making Black Hawk Ale - Truly the Ultimate Blend.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Clear, dark brown with an orange hue and a beige head. Sweet aroma of hard roasted malts and a touch of vanilla. Medium body, plenty of hard roasted malt and again a touch of vanilla. There’s a distinct malt astringency in the finish. 191207

Hazy dark brown. Relatively chocolatey aroma that is also slightly nutty. Somewhat thin, nutty, lightly chocolatey. Light but balanced.

Red black body topped by medium beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, coffee, some caramel. Taste is medium sweet, roasty, coffee. Finish is mild coffee bitter. Medium body. It’s not bad, indeed it’s quite drinkable. At the same time, there’s nothing standout about it.
