COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blue Heron Pale Ale is a delightful, medium bodied smooth ale, with a distinctive crisp mouth-feel and a fresh hoppy finish. It is brewed using premium two-row Pale malted barley, generous amounts of both Cluster bittering hops and Cascade finishing hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. Blue Heron Pale Ale is "Bottle Conditioned."

Tastes like beer, looks like beer, smells like beer. A good example of what beer is. Unfortunately there is very little else of note here, except perhaps an above average crispness to the palate.

Aroma is rather light citrus, yeast and some almost pilsener-like qualities. Flavor is citrus, grainy malts and a little out of place beery finish.

Pours a dark golden amber. Slight lacing and head. Slight sweet malty and hop aroma. Nothing really sticks out. Flavor is very disappointing. The scent lead my taste buds to expect something bitter and sweet. It tastes quite watered down. To be honest in the age that craft brewing is at you would think standard non mass produced beers would be better than this.

Small foamy head over hazy pale gold body. Aroma of Yeast and light caramel, a bit metallic. Taste of some bitterness, hops that were not that visible in the aroma make their presence felt. Some grass, some lemon, bit of sourness. Light oily mouthfeel. Lingering sourness in an otherwise pretty dry finish.

Poured a clear golden color with a nice white head. Aroma is floral, citrus, caramel, and a faint metallic odor. Taste is lemon, grass, bread, and yet again, an odd metallic taste. It’s ok but not gonna buy again.

From beer of the month club. Not too hoppy. Simple and pretty good. Kind of a unique bitterness too it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours medium gold with a white head. Aroma is light citrus and grass. Taste is more sweet than bitter, seems lacking a true pale ale taste. Medium bodied.

Straw color and very clear. Medium white fluffy head. Good lacing. Light hop aroma. Flavor is crisp and sweeter than I was expecting. Floral and some citrus hop flavor. Not much of any malt in flavor. Well balanced and easy drinking. ---Rated via iPhone

Bottle from my sisters fridge. Pours transparent golden with lots of head. Bitter hop aroma, bitter hop taste but drinkable and refreshing. Nothing special but decent.

Pours a clear straw with decent head, this pale boasts some honey and just lightly floral aroma. A malty and of course hoppy flavor rewards those who prefer their pales not too bitter with a satisfying clean finish and mildly effervescent mouthfeel. Overall well balanced, but not much to make this heron stand out from the flock. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
