CaptBier (252), Birmingham, Alabama, USA May 1, 2008 Bottle. Cloudy amber. Evident peachy hop aroma. Medium sweet with clean mouthfeel and overly simplistic crystal malt character. Low-medium bitterness. Hop aromatic, but extremely shallow. All surface, no contents.
daknole (697), Plantation, Florida, USA Sep 5, 2008 Bottle, from total wine. Golden pour wtih a nice white head. Aroma is malty, bready, crackers and grainy. Flavor has a fair hop profile and some light malts. Not amazing, but certainly drinkable. stefanje (552), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA Sep 3, 2008 12 oz bottle from ? (I lost track of where/whom I got this from) Slightly cloudy dark yellow pour with a fair white head that left some lacing. The aroma was a bit musty with biscuit and grains. The flavor was light with dough, nuts, weak pine, and mildly biter hops. The mouthfeel was full and malty. The finish was medium in duration with lingering biter hops. Overall: A refreshing summer beer, very sessionable. mgraider86 (5), Waterford, California, USA does not count Sep 3, 2008 Bought from Costco. Case contained this, Red Tail Ale, White Hawk IPA, and Eye of the Hawk Ale! Blue Heron had an aroma of pine. Poured a golden yellow color with a small amount of head. Very refreshing, mild hops. When I drank this it was hot outside. Good summer beer! mcc5468 (42), USA Sep 2, 2008 Golden - slightly orange color. Hop aroma - slightly medicinal, maybe pine. I found that the malt was competing with the hops and really produced an inconsistent taste. Just okay. Probably wouldn’t buy again. gpekar (119), USA Sep 1, 2008 Poured a clear golden yellow with a thin white head. There was a mild grassy aroma. There was a nice crisp clean taste. Nice and refreshing. There was a slight hop bitterness on the finish. Not too strong just enough to make this a nice crisp refreshing hot summer day beer. There was a decent amount of lacing for a thin head.
