Doctormirk (100), USA Mar 11, 2007 On tap. Sweet syrupy with caramel... Too sweet. Over ripe melon fruity flavor.
Trev (479), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Aug 16, 2008 Pours an amber colour with a thin off white head. medium dusty malt aroma. Some caramel.
Sweet tangy alc. flavour. Caramel and toasted malt but a little thin on the palate and not enough hop to balance out the malt and alc flavours for me.
KDorgan12 (160), Memphis, Tennessee, USA Aug 14, 2008 Bottle-Memphis. Big malt aroma, grainy, nutty, caramel-y. Munich grains come through in the flavor along with a toastiness. Sweet palate finishes it off. marcus (966), Sacramento, California, USA Aug 11, 2008 This copper ale poured with a patchy off-white head and a sweet citrus aroma. There is a caramel malt flavor with a sharp dry finish. Many years ago this was one of my favorite beers, but its quality has been surpassed by the newer leaders in the microbrewery community. SuzyGreenberg (900), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 30, 2008 22 oz. bottle - pours dark gold with frothy white head that quickly fades; lots of carbonation; aromas of stale malts and sugar; equally unexciting flavors follow accordingly; kind of like a robust version of coors Lt_Dan (21), Greater Los Angeles Area, California, USA Jul 30, 2008 I have had this a few times, and I always find weird metallic and chemical flavors. Not that great of a brew.
