Commercial Description:
Eye of the Hawk is an excellent, strong, rich bodied ale that is "Bottle Conditioned" to perfection. "Eye" is coppery reddish-amber in color and its unique taste is the result of a judicious mix of caramel and pale malted barley, balanced with Cluster, Cascade and Saaz hops. This gives the Eye its luxurious flavor, substantial mouth-feel and that slightly dry finish.

Pours a deep copper with faint off-white head. Aroma is of malt sugar and sharp, pungent American hops. Has a strange tart taste with adequate bitterness. Finishes dryer than expected.

Clear amber pour with a thin off-white head that dissipated quickly. Lightly carbonated. Sweet malts and a hint of citrus on the nose. Very sweet caramel malt flavors with very little hint of hops. Not enough hops to balance the malt flavors. Dry finish with lingering flavors on the side of the tongue.

Pours an amber colour with a thin off white head. medium dusty malt aroma. Some caramel. Sweet tangy alc. flavour. Caramel and toasted malt but a little thin on the palate and not enough hop to balance out the malt and alc flavours for me.

Bottle-Memphis. Big malt aroma, grainy, nutty, caramel-y. Munich grains come through in the flavor along with a toastiness. Sweet palate finishes it off.
