Commercial Description:
Eye of the Hawk is an excellent, strong, rich bodied ale that is "Bottle Conditioned" to perfection. "Eye" is coppery reddish-amber in color and its unique taste is the result of a judicious mix of caramel and pale malted barley, balanced with Cluster, Cascade and Saaz hops. This gives the Eye its luxurious flavor, substantial mouth-feel and that slightly dry finish.

Bottle. Not very good for the category. I expected it to have more of a cross section flavor profile and all it had was the taste of a beer with less alcohol. Good for one taste only.

Pours an amber colour with a thin off white head. medium dusty malt aroma. Some caramel. Sweet tangy alc. flavour. Caramel and toasted malt but a little thin on the palate and not enough hop to balance out the malt and alc flavours for me.

Bottle-Memphis. Big malt aroma, grainy, nutty, caramel-y. Munich grains come through in the flavor along with a toastiness. Sweet palate finishes it off.

This copper ale poured with a patchy off-white head and a sweet citrus aroma. There is a caramel malt flavor with a sharp dry finish. Many years ago this was one of my favorite beers, but its quality has been surpassed by the newer leaders in the microbrewery community.

22 oz. bottle - pours dark gold with frothy white head that quickly fades; lots of carbonation; aromas of stale malts and sugar; equally unexciting flavors follow accordingly; kind of like a robust version of coors

I have had this a few times, and I always find weird metallic and chemical flavors. Not that great of a brew.
