COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Imperial Stout is an impressive, ebony black beer with gorgeous ruby hued highlights. Brewed with several kinds of rich caramel and roasted malts, this robust, full-bodied stout is packed with sensuous chocolate and coffee flavors. The complex roastiness of this brew is interwoven with rich toffee, subtle dark fruit and a hint of anise to round off the malt experience. The intense maltiness is balanced with a floral hop flavor and the aroma from Cascade and Golding hops. With an immense original gravity of 23 Plato, this opulent beer finishes at 10% alcohol by volume. Imperial Stout is a lavish blend of sumptuous flavors, it is silky smooth and deceptively strong.

335 ml bottle. Black body with a fine, dense beige head. Nice, strong aroma of dark, roasted malt, mocha, coffee and some dry fruit. Flavor is sweet, dark roasted malt, chocolate, some coffee, some dry fruit and good balanced bitterness. Fine body with a long lasting aftertaste of sweet roasted malt. Rock solid well made, no nonsense traditional imperial stout.

Black, thick, creamy with a dense tan head, rich coffee flavours and a mocha aroma. Smooth for such a strong beer. A very big beer, strong and not for the faint of heart.

Bottle, 12oz. It pours a black body under a dense, tan head of moderate size. Toffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate and a touch of dried fruits in the aroma. The flavor is quite roasted and burnt, with tar and a hint of bonfire. Full-bodied, warming and softly carbonated. Lasting burnt and roasted finish with a meaty touch and some tar. Nothing impressive going on here, but it’s sure drinkable. 131231

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2013 (35 cl bottle from the Saratoga Springs facility; bought @ RT shop Hillerød; No BBD) Pours pitch black with medium, mocha head that subsides leaving film and decent lace. Good regeneration when swirling the glass to release aroma. Aroma is bread, molasses, alcohol and a coffee-like hint of roasted malt. Creamy texture, soft carbonation, full body and a nice bittering hop character in the surprisngly dry finish. The ABV is well integrated but could also have lent more complexity to the beer in my opinion. Flavour has some bready sweetness with coffee notes and quite a bit of hop bittering to balance out the sweetness. Well balanced.
