COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Imperial Stout is an impressive, ebony black beer with gorgeous ruby hued highlights. Brewed with several kinds of rich caramel and roasted malts, this robust, full-bodied stout is packed with sensuous chocolate and coffee flavors. The complex roastiness of this brew is interwoven with rich toffee, subtle dark fruit and a hint of anise to round off the malt experience. The intense maltiness is balanced with a floral hop flavor and the aroma from Cascade and Golding hops. With an immense original gravity of 23 Plato, this opulent beer finishes at 10% alcohol by volume. Imperial Stout is a lavish blend of sumptuous flavors, it is silky smooth and deceptively strong.

Flaske: Kulsort olieret øl med et flot mokkafarvet skumhoved. Duft af lakrids og let ristet malt. Smagen er sød med masser og lakrids. Lidt for engelsk i sit udtryk.

Bottle, bought @ YNWA Beershop, Kolding. Pours completely black with a medium, creamy, beige head. Good duration. Aroma has chocolate, liquorice, light tar, sweet malts. Low carbonation, fine creamy and light dry mouthfeel. Flavour has chocolate, light roasted, fairly nutty, a bit astringent. Good lingering malty bitter finish with a mild warming feeling.

Bottle in Minneapolis picked up in KC. Pours a deep brown/black appearance with a thin brown head. Big roasty chocolate malty, anise, a touch smoky aroma. Somewhat bitter. Earthy, light coffee, very roasty, dark chocolate flavor. Not bad.

12oz bottle. The pour was a muddy ebony black with a slight ruby hue and a medium cocoa brown head that bordered between average and large, which did recede down to a nice thick film creating some fair runny lacing. The aroma was of roasted dark bread malts, light floral hops and a meaty leathery yeast with notes of toffee, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit (raisons and prunes) and just a hint of licorice. The taste was a roasty bitter sweet with hints of chocolate and toffee early on, progressing with a mild hoppy bitterness, a touch of fruit, a bold coffee presence, a bit of licorice and a noticeable alcohol tinge right at the end. The flavor lasted a very long time following the swallow with a bitter roasty alcohol taste left lingering for quite a while longer. Mouthfeel was full in body and dry in texture with a good strong carbonation, which is kind of unusual in a stout. Overall this was a unique Imperial Stout with a bitter sweet fruitiness and a bold roastiness, which worked very well together along with the smooth alcohol flavor making this an enjoyable brew to sip on.... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews

No decipherable bottling information.
Appearance: Pitch black body with a thin brown head, the head has average retention and settles into a frothy ring with a thin covering.
Aroma: Sweet cocoa is the first thing that comes to mind, milk chocolate actually. Roasted coffee and raisins are mild, but add nicely to this.
Taste: Bittersweet chocolate with raisins with a backing of roasted malts is the best way to describe this. The roasted malts linger as if I sipped black coffee, along with dark fruits.
Palate: Medium to thick bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This is a surprisingly well done imperial stout. This is available at a great price and is on par with many other good imperial stouts I’ve had. Certainly give this one a try.

Yup, another good one to hit when you’re in the sticks, fancy that! Really though, it’ll warm ya up on a cold night!

I poured this one aggressively into a snifter. I got just a hint of head that disappeared before I could really get any read on it. It didn't even leave any real ring. No lacing tries to cling to the glass. Body is a deep dark brown. There is a very pronounced head on this one. Dark fruit, caramel and toffee are very "loud" aromas, having been very noticeable as I poured. Roasted malt is present as well. Dark fruit and roasted malt are up front. These transition into dark coffee, dark chocolate and hints of slightly over-roasted nuts. Booze comes in and plays around the flavors at the end. As the beer warms there is a hint of dark soda (similar to a Dr Depper or root beer) in the transition from dark fruit to dark chocolate/coffee. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. Pours black with beige head. Aromas of burnt malt and pit fruit. Flavors of prune and roasted malt. Beer is acrid from the burnt malts with tang from the fruit esters. Finishes with burnt overtones which detract. It’s just ok
