4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 CaliforniaWill (5) - - MAY 11, 2013 does not count
This beer is more like a pale ale than a traditional pilsner but its damn good. Compared to a Pilsner Urquell, it’s heavy and hoppier and stronger. This is my go to beer right now.

12oz bottle picked up at The Grapevine
Appearance: Pours clear straw golden with a medium sized white head and some lacing
Aroma: Pilsner malts, crackers, bready and floral
Taste: Malts, bisquity, spicy, grassy, finishes with a mild bitterness and dry
A nice Pilsner, full flavored but light and refreshing
3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bhensonb (8985) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 8, 2012
Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento. Pours hazy gold with a 3.5 finger foamy white head. Aroma is mildly bready and mixed spicy/herby/grassy. Med body. The flavor is bready, but in a full bodied way that is not heavy. Whatever that means. The hop is nice - not so bitter as I’d like, but it’s hoppy. It is clean/crisp/dry. And there’s a bit of floral. Almost overcoming the other hops, if I think too much about it. It’s a really good beer.

Bottle: light yellow with medium-sized white head. Aroma is light with hay and grassy hops. Flavor is dry with grass, hay, and bisquit. Palate is lively with carbonation and dry. From the aroma I was expecting very little flavor but was surprised by the spicy hoppiness and full flavor; nice beer.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 joeneugs (2143) - Livermore, California, USA - AUG 11, 2012
12 oz. bottle. Great new pilsner from Mendocino. Who woulda thunk it! It pours a nice clear golden color with a decent white head. The aroma is very strong with spicy Czech hops and a mildly bready pilsner malt background. The flavor is definitely on the hoppy side for the style. Nice clean maltiness and crisp hop finish. The body is pretty full and satisfying for the style. I’m very impressed.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Cannile (12) - California, USA - JUL 17, 2012
Delicate, clean, quenching, and still brings a brilliant showcase of noble hop character. I was told there are 5 additions of Czech Saaz added throughout the boil, delivering a full-spectrum hop palate experience. Near perfection for the style. I could drink an entire case.
