COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Peregrine Pilsner is a rich Czech Style Pilsner brewed with the finest Pilsen malt and noble hops from the Saaz region. It is brilliant gold, full bodied with a dense white head and with lively carbonation. With a clean crisp palate, dry finish, delicate lingering floral notes, Peregrine is the pinnacle of what a pilsner should be.

Like most American attempts at Czech-style Pilsners, this one doesn’t quite seem to get it, although it’s close. The aroma and initial flavor is excellent...fresh, crisp, relatively light-bodied, with both a strong hop presence and a grainy malt, somewhat grassy, in the aroma. I also detect floral notes in the aroma, and I love this. Where it goes slightly (ever so slightly) wrong for me is that the finish is a bit too heavy, and it leaves a heavy, bitter aftertaste, rather than a clean, fresh bitterness. I like the carbonation--contributes to it being fresh. I wish they could retain this beer’s aromatic qualities and up-front bitterness while making the finish cleaner tasting. Still very good and I’d drink again.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento. Pours hazy gold with a 3.5 finger foamy white head. Aroma is mildly bready and mixed spicy/herby/grassy. Med body. The flavor is bready, but in a full bodied way that is not heavy. Whatever that means. The hop is nice - not so bitter as I’d like, but it’s hoppy. It is clean/crisp/dry. And there’s a bit of floral. Almost overcoming the other hops, if I think too much about it. It’s a really good beer.

12 ounce bottle from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. This pours almost clear golden and has a white head. A gob of honey in the aroma. Less honey in the flavor but there is some. More fruity hops and grain. Bitterness. Lemon grass and a hint of mint with rye. My tongue is getting numb from this Pils. A good American version of the style.

Peregrine piss never tasted so good! Oh...pilsner, not piss? Whatever, it’s still refreshing and tasty. Golden straw, white beak and plenty of zazzy carbonation. Smells of corn, wheat, caramel, bread and piney citrus hops. A little bitter on the back end but some light caramel sweetness makes this alright drinking.

The taste of had more bread, floral hops and hints of spices. The pilsner has a medium body with soft carbonation. The finish was clean and slightly sweet.

Bottle: Clear, golden, light to medium head. Malt driven nose. Nutty, pale malt. Slightly funky rodent aromatics. Lightly hopped. Dry, slightly sour and medium to medium high bitterness. Medium weight and long. Malt driven flavor. Honey. High carbonation may be driving sour or acid edge. Also playing with the perceived bitterness. Moderately fruity palate.

A clear golden body with a fast fading white head. Toasted malts and a bit of fruit in the aroma. A slight bit of corn. Flavor had a nice toasted malt presence. Corn notes were present but not offensive or negative in anyway. Some mild sweetness. A nice smooth drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beer of month club. Gold color. Aromatic for a pils - some lemon, malt. Taste has some malt, caramel and a hoppy finish that makes this more bitter than any pils I can remember - which is good! Not a great beer, but a good one. Easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
