COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

smells of burnt pasta, maybe macaroni and cheese. pours kinda hazy. kinda amber i guess. small film of head that hangs around. little bit of visible carbonation in the glass. taste is big salty backbone.. malty? maybe if rhymes count. there is some lacing on the glass... i really would hope to pick up on more fresh malt flavors. the mouthfeel is pretty nice and lively. I just don’t like that particular taste too much... too roasty. I guess this is not bad, but probably not something i will buy again. but hey! this beer did really well in the beginning of the craft beer movement and i can see why... it does have some flavour. gotta respect it for bein an old timer. i was just drinking bitburger and i would rather have that.

bottle. I would not drink this while consuming fine dining like the label suggests. average amber at best.

(Bottle) Pours amber. The aroma is rubbery, light sourish and light sweet with hints of fruits, toast and band-aid. The flavour is light sweet, light to medium bitter and light acidic with notes of rubber, fruits and toast. The mouthfeel is soft with a light carbonation. Light to medium bodied.

The color is a light redish brown with little head. The smell is not good. This beer tastes sour and malty with a bit of a raisin flavor!!

Pours a reddish orange brown, slightly malty aroma. Flavor does not reaaly leave any real impact on the palate, but it is a bit fruity, mostly citrus. Drinks easily almost like a dark lager, finish is short. Average amber ale at best !

Amber appearance, taste is of sweet malts with hints of grapefruit and pine and a finish that is slightly bitter and quick. Drinkable, light brew that goes down easy, but nothing special.

Gription79 (603) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - DEC 16, 2011
12 oz bottle
Aroma: malt, sulfur, roasted malt
Taste: caramel malt, roasted malts, floral, earthy
Overall: This was not an exciting beer. I would like some complexity in my Amber Ales.
