COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

12 oz bottle (no freshness date) from Evergreen Discount into my Funkwerks glass. Amber, deep orange and hazy appearance with an average beige head, light lacing. Mild aroma of grains, toasted malts, sweet fruit and light toffee/caramel. Similar flavor, pretty bland, mild bitterness and light sweetness with a touch of alcohol. Medium body, crisp and semi-dry with an unpleasant metallic finish. Definitely some off-notes, probably been on the shelf too long.

Bottle at International Great Beer Expo (Meadowlands). Light amber color, small white foamy head, high carbonation, very faint hops aroma, yeasty taste, abrupt finish. Not an impressive beer.

2oz sample at International Great Beer Expo (Meadowlands). Pours amber in color with a small head of foam. Aroma of old citrus and toasted malts. Taste is much the same. Toasted and caramel malts, and old citrus fruit.

355 ml bottle. Clear reddish amber body with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is mainly malty with some caramel, pine and citric fruit. Flavor is sweet malt, bread, some citric fruit and balanced bitterness. Medium body and moderate aftertaste with sweet malt. Mainly a malt driven beer, somehow balanced, but pretty straight forward and not very exciting.

30-DEC-2013, bottle @home, from Fish & Beer. Clear golden/light amber with quickly dying off-white head. Hoppy and malty aroma with grape fruit, caramel, Vanilla, and orange peel. Taste the same. Thin body, medium carbonation, short aftertaste. Not all that bitter.

@ Party Source / Bellvue KY - Nearly clear dark amber with a lively head that stays at 1", bands and dots of lace. Taste begins with sweet caramel malt and dry wood and biscuit, moves through the palate without incident, lands in the finish with a mild, but assertive, hop bitter. Pretty simple, but quite easy to drink, with or without food. No big deal, but I like it.

Bottle 355ml @ Geokkjer
Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, bread and citrus hops. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel and bready finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 12oz. A creamy, beige head forms over a clear, dark golden body. Malty, lightly citrusy, piney aroma. Some nuttyness, but rather boring. The flavor has a plesant bitterness, but else it’s quite boring. Citrusy, grassy hops. Medium to full body, quite dry, with a nice carbonation level. Bitterness, grass and some fruityness in the finish. A pretty boring one, but not flawed in any way. 131231
