COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

It has a nice amber color and smells pretty standard for an ale. It has an easy drinking malt flavor and overall not too bad.

Pretty mediocre pale ale with some caramel and hops in the nose. Clear amber color and light carbonation/head. Light in body with caramel malt throughout and a slightly dry finish. Not very memorable.

Golden amber hue. Smells kinda soapy, with some toasted malt. Medium bodied, starts out sweet amd follows through with lots of carbonation, and a long yeasty finish. A very drinkable ale.

Really nice looking brew. Dark orange color, with a lasting head. The aroma is dominated by maltiness. The flavor is a nice mix of malt and hops with sufficient body. There is an oak barrel flavor in the finish that is enjoyable. Overall a very nice ale, but just a little too much malt for me.

More like a normal ale - it doesnít seem all that strong at 6% abv. Not bitter and not all that flavorful. Itís apparently their "flagship" beer.

The color is kinda a dark golden...but boring. Nice aroma and flavor. I canít figure it out, but Iíve noticed this hops flavor before in many different american pale ales. The aroma and flavor is like sour apples. Typical example of the style.

an interesting ale. red amber color, hoppy nose, taste is a blend of a sweet caramel start and pungent hop middle with a dry tart finish. a well made beer worth tasting.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2003 Rerate - Clean, doughy aroma, light amber apperance with a solid white head. Has a crisp, citrusy, hoppy flavor that hold up well to the finish. A little better the second time around. Original - 3 - 8/26/02 - Good, bold flavored amber ale. Not too sweet and caramel-flavored. No real aroma to it however.

I just tried this beer for the first time and I enjoyed it. I would definitely try another six pack. It has a small head, but it sticks around for awhile considering the baldness of it. At first the flavor is really pretty good and striking, but starts to fade at the finish. I love the hoppiness of it. The appearance is average. For an amber ale this is pretty good.
