3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pretty lively pour, good head formation, pale-ale like honey color. Clean aroma with hints of roasted malts, hop fruitiness and a little roasty. Vague fruity front turns a little toasty mid-palate. Crisp hop bite in the finish but not in great quantity. Quenches a little in the aftertaste but doesn’t seem to challenge the tastebuds too much. A little woodiness seems to run throughout along with an overall dryness. Flavor grows as the beer warms but never really fulfills.

It has a strong hoppy taste. It lingers in the mouth. A very strong amber, but good.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nothing bad, nothing great. Caramel sweetnes throughout with reasonable hop presence. An average offering from one of my least favorite american microbreweries. I was trying this to see if the ones that are actually brewed in California are better than the ones brewed in new york. I wasn’t particularly impressed.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Though this beer is a very smooth drinking ale, the sour flavor is unexpected and not entirely welcome. Nice color and aroma, decent hops, subtle alcohol, but unusual flavor.

This beer is horrible. I took one sip and had to pour it out. Tried another a few days later, same result. Very sour, undrinkable. I have the other 4 bottles and am going to throw them out. Can an entire 6-pack be skunky?

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A great amber ale. A decent sized, foamy head. A tad too much bitterness in the aftertaste, detracting from the overall score. Crisp and dry, yet not overdone.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
For an amber ale its not too bad, but still its an amber ale. It has a very nice aroma and a good look, but the flavor is nothing special. A little bitterness and a little hoppieness, but nothing great.

I keep coming back to this one. It’s got the hops, but it’s also smooth and well-rounded.
