COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

Slightly fizzy with no intense taste. Out of the sample pack I had this was one of their better beers, had a sublte hop and strong yeast aroma and flavor. A little flat tasting for a red ale, but anyone could appreciate this after a long day.

12oz bottle. Pours amber with a white head. Caramel, biscuit. Very bland. Could use some hops/bitterness to balance it out and add some flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mild flavored slightly sweet and fruity ale with a soft malty base and not a whole lot else to cheer about. A decent brew but very forgettable.

"in a word, boring. one of the least impressive "amber" ales i’ve ever had. i can never quite understand why a breweries flagship beer would be this when there are way better beers in their arsenal, including the ever popular pale ale..."

Pours amber with a white head. Malt, caramel, toffee, hop and biscuit aroma and flavors. Medium body and carbonation. Caramel and biscuit finish. Nasty astringent aftertaste. Bland too

Drank from a bottle. Sweet malty ale, that coats the mouth. Nicely balanced hop bitterness

Eww. Bottle must have been fucked because if this is what they were going for, they should think again. Gross. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer is not worth drinking. I was surprised how unbalanced and super malty this beer was. Hops and bitterness are there but not there. Don’t try.

On tap poured a clear deep golden hue w/ medium diminishing to a lasting cap. Mild to moderate malt aroma. Initial flavor is faint sweet w/ a bold sharp bitter finish of short duration. Tastes are straw, rye, grass, and bitter hop. Medium body and creamy mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle at home from backlog notes 07/08. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have biscuity malt, light caramel, mild citrus, mild earthy notes. Nothing big that stands ou. Forgettable.

Ruddy amber with a white head. Nothing award-winning happening here, just a decent drinkeroo. Citrus and herbal hops paired with brown sugar, nutty and yeasty toast malts is a pretty nice combo. An okay ale that just wants to chill and is at a good price.
