17thfloor (637), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 7, 2007 Updated: Mar 18, 2008 Typical med/dark amber pour, few bubbles, medium somewhat creamy head. Very fragrant, hoppy with some obvious malt undertones. Flavor is hops, with some citrus and very little malt. Bitter and sweet finish. Very drinkable for a beer with this much in it...the light side of an APA. Palate is thin but adequate. Excellent, well balanced.
drewbeerme (1782), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 17, 2008 12oz bottle. pours hazed chestnut with white head. nose is a bit oxidized doughy malts. flavor is same. pretty bad. NoiZe (875), Zeist, Netherlands Aug 12, 2008 Tasted somewhere along my trip through the States.
Decent, but not very special amber. FishManLA (164), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA Aug 11, 2008 Amber/red color with almost no head. Slightly fruity aroma with some slightly grainy notes. Bitter hops are apparent in the taste which also includes sweet fruity notes mingled with a slight citrus sourness. Hoppy, moderately bitter finish. Drinks easy. Overall a decent beer, but not a standout. llbjr77 (53), Largo, Florida, USA Aug 6, 2008 It is more golden in color than amber with a full white head. Hops and fruit in the aroma. Taste a little caramel as well. Thought it would be a little darker, fuller beer, but drinks nice and will have again! Oscbert (239), Sacramento, California, USA Aug 4, 2008 ~Pours a golden color with white rocky head.
~Crisp hoppy scent with lots of glass bottle scent.
~Light citrus hop flavor with sweet malts.
~Medium feel, quick clean finish.
~Nice easy drinking brew. I think I may have gotten an old bottle though.
