COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

Your run of the mill average American micro amber ale... Full bodied golden pour, slightly malty nose with a balanced palate of yeast and oats. Leaves something to be desired in the end. Possibly another yuppie drinker here without any major accolades.

Your basic malt-and-hops-you-made-a-beer-in-your-garage-type beer. I’ll take it.

penstemon (199) - Nevada, USA - APR 17, 2015
Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma is a bit of oxidation, biscuit and cereal, a slight herbal hop component, and a mild fruity sweetness. Taste is mostly cereal and herbal hops with slight caramel and low-med bitterness. Medium body with sort of a strange viscousness to it, fizzy carb, dry finish. Bitterness is a little too long and astringent considering there is not much hop flavor.

Consumed straight from the bottle, which might be at least several months old. Its not bad - perhaps bottle conditioning helps give this a longer shelf life? Easy drinking, mildly malty, a touch of bitterness and hops. Not bad at all.

small frothy white head. fair lacing. mostly diminishing. translucent average-density light amber body. aroma: moderate malt, caramel, light hoppy, maple syrup. if: heavy sweet. ff: moderate sweet bitter; long duration. palate: medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation, metallic finish. Pesado Dulçor maltado lembra também Karo. Amargor de lúpulo surge para equilibrar no final do gole. O amargor de malte e lúpulo são balanceados e se auxiliam mutuamente, como previsto no BJCP. 30 s

12oz bottle. Pours amber with a white head. Caramel, biscuit. Very bland. Could use some hops/bitterness to balance it out and add some flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mild flavored slightly sweet and fruity ale with a soft malty base and not a whole lot else to cheer about. A decent brew but very forgettable.

"in a word, boring. one of the least impressive "amber" ales i’ve ever had. i can never quite understand why a breweries flagship beer would be this when there are way better beers in their arsenal, including the ever popular pale ale..."

Pours amber with a white head. Malt, caramel, toffee, hop and biscuit aroma and flavors. Medium body and carbonation. Caramel and biscuit finish. Nasty astringent aftertaste. Bland too

Drank from a bottle. Sweet malty ale, that coats the mouth. Nicely balanced hop bitterness

Eww. Bottle must have been fucked because if this is what they were going for, they should think again. Gross. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
