COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fall brings out the best in in nature. Almost overnight trees that looked acceptable in their majestic coats of green, now don the brazen hues of brass, gold and burnt crimsons. Thanksgiving is perhaps the best of holidays, for it is a time for sharing and enriching our lives. To honor Fall we offer our deep mahogany hued Pumpkin Ale, bursting with a robust roasted malt flavor. To this mélange we add copious amounts of pumpkin and embellish that further with nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger. This would have been ideal, but perfection is our preference and so we diligently add cocoa nibs as the beer conditions and intensifies the depth of flavor. This melds magnificently with the pumpkin and spice. And as a fitting finale we gently introduce hops to compliment this complex potion and the result is a finish that is clean and brilliant. At 5% alc./vol., this is a Pumpkin perfect session ale – Perfect for Fall and the approaching holiday season. Look for this seasonal brew coming out in the Fall of 2013

A decent pumpkin, not the best, not the worst. Pours a nice clear red. Smells of pumpkin and nutmeg. Taste is subtle, a little bit of pumpkin upfront, with a balanced but bit boring finish. Had on tap at Tiburon Taps Beer Festival.

Bottle:   This one also reminds me a bit of old Chicken in a Biscuit like crackers.   Spices turned a bit south, not much spiciness.   More of a stale Amber Ale.   Fairly muted, quick finish.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finishes very... light.   Was hoping this held up over time, but nope.   Didn’t go bad, just faded.

This pours a reddish orange color with only a slight head and some floaties mixed in the beer. The aroma is mild with pumpkin, allspice, cinnamon, and other spices. The texture is bold and smooth with good pumpkin flavor that it’s too thin or watery like other pumpkin beers. A delicious, sold seasonal beer just too bad I found this past the prime pumpkin beer drinking season.

Funny how all of the extra shit breweries seem to make good oddball beers. This is honestly the best thing they make and its a crap style.

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Firestone restaurant pint glass From: BevMo in Mission Valley (San Diego), Calif. Price: $14.99 for a BevMo variety 8-pack (w/ BevMo card) Purchased: Dec. 31, 2013 Consumed: Jan. 3, 2014 Misc.: N/A Poured an amber orange color with three fingers of khaki white head that shrunk pretty quickly. A decent amount of bubbles coming up from the bottom. Very good layered foamy lacing along the sides of the glass on the way down. Great and thick retention all the way down. Smelled pumpkin seeds, peppery spices, cocoa, nutmeg, cinnamon, chocolate and faint peppermint. Tasted a bit better than the smell. First thing I noticed was cocoa, chocolate and fudge chips. Also pumpkin, nutmeg, caramel, toffee pumpkin rind and faint cinnamon. Maybe even some chili peppers in there late? Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, spicy finish. The most different kind of pumpkin beer I’ve ever had. A couple of my ratings could have gone either way, but I’d try it again.

12oz bottle. Pours a shiny red with some orange highlights. Head is a thin white layer of tiny bubbles in different densities. Aroma is lots of pumpkin pie spice with some little amounts of pumpkin. Lighter body, but not too light for the 5% alcohol. Pretty clean. It’s certainly not going to win any awards in my book, but it is easy to drink.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours copper with a beige head. Strong nutmeg aroma. Med body or close. Flavor is nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon. Maybe a touch of chocolate. Or not. The spice is the game. Pretty decent version.
