Tallahassee, Fl. - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Dark copper pour, sticky, off-white head that leaves good lacing. Rich, molasses-like aroma with hints of ripening vegetables. Rib sticking flavor with some prunes, raisins, a hint of chocolate with thte same molasses riding through the back end. Thick chewy mouthfeel. All around a most decent, stick to your ribs, bock

12oz single from Total Wine in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance: Pours out a dark copper body with a small, scattered, white head. Smell: Lightly toasty, sweet-smelling maltiness and spicy Noble hops with minor hint of Red Delicious apple peelings and a waft of alcohol. Taste: Toasted malts with a tiny kick of graininess along with a fair amount of caramel sweetness. There’s a discreet Noble spicy hop character and bitterness. Slight touch of alcohol near the end. Still manages to finish fairly malty and sweet, though. Mouthfeel: Just a hair above medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A reasonably respectable bock from dear old Mendocino.

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of caramel, toffee, dark fruits, floral hops, and a hint of alcohol. Flavor pretty malty with caramel and toasted malts. Finishes with a hint of bitterness and very slight warming. Was hoping for more on the flavor and finish.

12oz bottle. pours chestnut with white clumpy head. toffee malt aroma with some green floral hop notes. flavors are sweet toasted malts, a bit caramelized, touch of some noble hop notes flowery and leathery hops. slightly metalic finish. not bad at all and probably much better straight from the source.

12oz bottle. Pours clear, golden/amber color. Rocky eggshell colored head. Creamy texture. Sweet rich malt. Flavors of honey and toffee. Finishes with one of the greatest hop flavors I’ve had all day. Spicy and calmingly bitter. Prost
